Parents have been given a gift from God. Parents should love, train, teach and discipline their children. These verses are a selection of what the Bible says about parenting.
but Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Remember this! Whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it. (Luke 18:16-17)
Children are a gift from the Lord;
they are a real blessing.
Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life. (Proverbs 22:6)
Never forget these commands that I am giving you today. Teach them to your children. Repeat them when you are at home and when you are away, when you are resting and when you are working. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
and you remember that ever since you were a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:15)
Discipline your children while they are young enough to learn. If you don’t, you are helping them destroy themselves. (Proverbs 19:18)
Do we dare say to our parents,
“Why did you make me like this?”
Parents, do not treat your children in such a way as to make them angry. Instead, raise them with Christian discipline and instruction. (Ephesians 6:4)
The Lord corrects those he loves, as parents correct a child of whom they are proud. (Proverbs 3:12)
Parents, don’t be hard on your children. If you are, they might give up. (Colossians 3:21)
