The pastor attended all the literacy training sessions held as part of the programme this year and last year. The teaching had an impact on him and he decided to designate a 70 square metre area of his house to be used to open a new church.
This year he began to evangelise his neighbours; he involved his wife and children in the task, and asked other believers to help him. There are currently about 30 people meeting in his house.
He said, “I am totally committed to preaching the gospel; that’s why I have opened my home for a church to meet here. I’m not going to wait for people to come; instead, I’m going to visit people in their homes. I would like to see at least 100 members within a year, and I know that with the help of God and my family we’ll achieve it, not for my glory but for God’s.”
