“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10)
This verse plays an important role in my life. In 2004 I gave my life to the Lord, accepting him as a new life-giver, and I was born again. Previously, I didn’t have this experience in my life. Going through the difficulties in our life we experienced the Lord. The Lord has been beside me since childhood.
We (husband and wife) lost our jobs. We had two children. In this time of severe difficulty our Lord didn’t leave us. I received the Lord’s vision and experienced his presence. As much as we went forward with the Lord, the devil kept on bringing us back, but the verse above always led us to experience the presence of the Lord.
“Everything went to zero”
On October 4, 2012, my husband died. My children and I were unaware of the incident because my husband was at work, my children were studying, and I was teaching in a private school. Everything went to zero. We have no idea how God gave us strength and made a way for us.
The Lord always used to give me one verse to remember: John 11:40 – “If thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God”. The Lord made this verse a reality in our lives.
“they would offer him a job”
The managers at my husband’s work consoled us. Once my son finished college, they said, they would offer him a job. But this didn’t happen. After he’d graduated they avoided us, and continued to do so for six months.
Then, when I was praying on September 10, 2013, the Lord asked me to meet the Managing Director of the company directly. I called the factory and told them that I wanted to meet the Managing Director. They asked me to go to the headquarters in Gurugram, where the Managing Director is based.
On September 14, 2013, when I was praying, I felt the Lord’s presence. I asked the Lord, “After meeting the Managing Director, when will my son be employed?” He told me that it would be on September 20, 2013. I said to the Lord that the 20th was a Sunday, and He told me to check again. I checked and found that the 20th was a Friday. I knew I needed to meet the Managing Director before the 20th.
I felt the Lord’s presence. I asked the Lord, “After meeting the Managing Director, when will my son be employed?” He told me that it would be on September 20, 2013.
My son, Akash Francis, and I left for Gurugram on September 17 by train. We reached the office the next morning but were told that the Managing Director could not meet us without an appointment.
We met his PA and the Head of HR, and they told us that there was no procedure of giving a job like this and that we had been given the wrong information. They would talk to the Managing Director, they said, and would let us know in one week.
We left the office to go to the station to catch our train. When we were at the station, there was a call from the local HR office, stating that my son, Akash, would join the firm from September 23, as per a letter from the head of HR, received 10 minutes earlier.
The next day, when we reached our home, there was a call from the Plant Head. He said that my son would start working on September 20, not the 23rd.
“Akash started working for that firm on September 20, 2013, exactly as I was told by the Lord.”
The Lord never forgets his promise
Akash started working for that firm on September 20, 2013, exactly as I was told by the Lord. PRAISE THE LORD! This shows that if you believe, anything is possible. The Lord never forgets his promise.
My children and I grew in faith day after day and in everything we experienced His graciousness. We surrendered ourselves to our Lord and decided to serve the Lord and spread His Word. That’s why we created a small ministry, ‘Shalom’, where we help the poor and needy, and bring back the people who are away from the Lord and win the souls for the Lord.
Please pray for us, that we may win lots and lots of souls for the Lord.
