United Bible Societies is glad to report a milestone for the Russian Bible Society. For twenty years its team has been labouring on the Study Bible in Contemporary Russian.
What makes this book unique is its lonely gap between the previous edition. A.P. Lopuhin’s first Study Bible in Russian dates back to more than 100 years. Russian readers will benefit from the clear Bible translation, but now accompanied by the scholarly commentaries and maps that bring out the depth and riches of the biblical text.
The commentators’ notes, however, do not have to remain as the only comments on the text as there is wide margin space for user’s own notes and questions. A special font was created for the Bible Society as the book was published.
Both black and navy colour editions have a strong binding stitching prepared to last heavy use. Congratulations on this landmark edition!
